It's beginning to look alot like Christmas-Bing Crosby

Hi, The sights and smells of the season are in the air with fragrance of Pine trees,

shopping for gifts, parties celebrating with beverages and special meals and treats,

visiting with our friends and families. It seems our differences are put on hold

during this time of year, and everyone seems just a little more cheerful.

I enjoy the season for a couple of reasons, the first is that after the 21st of December

the days start getting longer again(a total lunar eclipse of the moon occurs at 12:29

am this year, if you can stay awake for it). The other reason I like this season is

all of the gatherings with Friends and Families, sometimes this is the only time

during the year you get the chance to visit.

Have a Fantastic Holiday Season!

Hello from Ocean City

An Old Italian Proverb says alot about how to live our lives, "At the end of the game
the King and the Pawn
go into the same box"
Have we finally made the "Turn" as thought by many in the months past, including myself? Hope so. The Numbers indicate that it keeps getting better and better. Stock market has regained much of the suffered losses, and Real Estate here at the Beach has started to see more buyers picking up some great deals, with some Buyers willing to purchase and not being able to find the property they want.
When the opportunity presents itself,Do Not pass up the chance to VOTE in the upcoming Elections! No speech from me, but it is the only tool we have to obtain the proper representation.
I have already posted the event calander for Ocean City, but one thing I forgot to mention was the new Maryland Law that requires Hand Free Operation of Cell Phones While Driving is law starting October 1st.
Another danger is the mating season for Deer runs between October and December, which means the chance of hitting one with a car is increased-be cautious.
Restaurant deals abound during this Second Season at the Shore, come on down and enjoy with us.

Summer Happenings in Ocean City

Get ready for the BIG DAY- The 4th of July Events in Ocean City are right around the corner. Make your plans now to attend. The Off-Shore boat races were great on Memorial Day weekend, and the Air Force Thunderbirds and Air Show were fantastic on the 5th and 6th of June, as well as the auto show at the Convention Center the same weekend. Try not to miss the July events!
As far as our Real Estate Market-Sales are up almost 20% from last year as a result of falling property values and the very low interest rates that are still available. The question: Is this the time to buy? YES IT IS! Join us at the shore, and enjoy!

Welcome Warm Weather

Hi! Does anyone miss all the snow and rain yet? I doubt if there is a single person that isn't happy to see the warm temperatures finally arrive. It's funny to see people rush to the garden depots while the temperatures are still in the 60's, we all want to put winter behind us. The home and Garden/ Craft shows were held the weekend of the 20th March ( !st day of Spring), and had tons of people attend. On April 4th there will be Easter Sunrise Service 6 a.m. at the Assateague State Park pavillion (410-641-2186, on April 4th at 2 p.m. there will be an Easter Egg Hunt at Merry Sherwood Plantation, for children 8 and younger. April 16th, April 17th, and April 18th is Spring Free Bulk pick-up for property owners, 6 a.m.- 2 p.m., tthe Community Yard Sale will be held Saturday April 17th, 7 a.m.- Noon at Northside park, the cost for a double space is $15.00. The Real Estate Market here in Ocean City is heating up, I am seeing increased activity in agents showing properties and there are more settlements taking place in our office. The inventory is down 10% , and the sales are up 8% from this time last year. I have just reduced a 2 bedroom/ 2 bath on canal with a deeded boatslip from $258,900.00 to $245,000.00 and they are offering $1,000.00 toward furniture allowance. GREAT DEAL!

Ocean City Today

SPRING IS ALMOST HERE!
Hello Again! March 20th is just around the corner, and we hope the snow is finished for the year. We are looking forward to the St. Patrick Day parade which starts at 60th street and ends up at 45th street where the GREEN party begins. This also marks the Ocean City Home and Garden Show on the 19th, 20th and 21st. Come and enjoy and leave with fresh ideas. I am expecting a very busy sales season this Spring at the Beach this year due to the normal buying and selling trends and especially the pent up demand from all the potenial buyers wanting to buy, but still not sure if the bottom has been hit. From what I see the market right now is flat, but will get agressive in the coming weeks. ENJOY!
